Generation Schedule
The Southwestern Power Administration publishes projected hydropower schedules. Find GFD in the project table for Greers Ferry Dam. The schedule is a forecast and can change with power demand, reservoir operations, weather, or equipment conditions.

River Gauges
The schedule shows what may be released. Gauges show what has reached a specific location. Compare the time and trend at each station instead of assuming one reading represents all 32 miles.
Upper River
Use the Heber Springs station to check conditions closest to Greers Ferry Dam.
Middle River
Use the Pangburn station to understand how water has moved farther downstream.
Lower River
Use the Dewey station for downstream flow and available water-quality observations.
Water Temperature
Water temperature changes with distance from the dam, generation, weather, sunlight, tributaries, and travel time. Compare readings from the dam, Pangburn, and Dewey to understand conditions at three points along the river.
At the Dam
Check the USACE temperature reading closest to Greers Ferry Dam.
Pangburn
Check the USACE temperature reading for the middle river at Pangburn.
Dewey
Check the USACE temperature reading for the lower river at Dewey.
